Game tickets and a ten-state sweepstakes for a craft brewery
A Midwest craft brewery ran two programs with Round in 2026: a summer buy-and-upload ticket promotion with two local pro sports teams, then a fall sweepstakes built to grow its email list.
Summer: buy beer, upload a receipt, get game tickets
The brewery wanted to reward shoppers who bought a specific beer with free tickets to two local pro teams’ games, while supplies lasted. Every receipt had to be checked for the right product and dates, and qualified buyers needed their ticket code right away.
- Automatic receipt reading checks each upload for the right product and date. Close calls go to a person for review.
- Instant ticket codes for qualified buyers. Duplicate receipts, wrong products, unreadable photos and out-of-date purchases are declined.
- Separate terms for each team, run as a promotion rather than a sweepstakes at a team’s request.
- Ticket supply tracked team by team. Demand ran ahead of supply, and both teams released more codes mid-promotion.
The in-store QR code was scanned only 99 times against 434 submissions, which showed the brewery its digital promotion was doing most of the work.
Fall: a ten-state sweepstakes with weekly reporting
A QR code sweepstakes with a grand prize and 25 swag packs. Entrants earn bonus entries by sharing a photo of the brand’s logo and by joining the newsletter, with wording that makes clear no purchase is required.
- Entry counts every Monday, so the brewery can shift its digital ad budget toward what’s working.
- More than 900 entries by the end of October, with about a month still to run.
- Newsletter opt-ins exported on request, so the email list grows every week the program runs.
